FREE LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE: For each passenger, CanJet allows up to two (2) checked pieces of 20kg (44 lbs) in combined weight and 158 cm (62 inches) each in overall dimensions (height + width + depth).
Cruise Passengers only, CanJet allows up to two (2) checked pieces of 25kg (55lbs) in combined weight and 158 cm (62 inches) each in overall dimensions (height + width + depth). (must be indicated on e-ticket)
Passengers Traveling to Providenciales (PLS) and San Salvador (ZSA) only, CanJet allows up to two (2) checked pieces of 25kg (55 lbs) in combined weight and 158 cm (62 inches) each in overall dimensions (height + width + depth). (must be indicated on e-ticket)
Passengers traveling with an infant who have not purchased a seat for the infant: Infants are not allowed their own baggage allowance however they are allowed free of charge 2 extra pieces per infant (example: car seat, stroller, play pen etc...).
Passengers traveling with an infant who purchased a seat for the infant: Once a seat is purchased for the baby they are allowed the same allowance as the adult which is mentioned in details above.

CARRY-ON LUGGAGE: CanJet will permit each passenger to carry onboard, (1) standard item of carry-on luggage not exceeding 21 cm x 40 cm x 54 cm (8" x 16" x 21") in size. Maximum weight for carry-on shall not exceed 10kg (22 pounds).
- Items to be counted include : Any kind of bag or suitcase, briefcases, laptop computers (bags), diaper bags, camera cases that may contain items such as spare lenses and film in addition to the camera, cartons, boxes and other similar items.
- Items not to be counted include: Cameras, coats, diplomatic or consular bags, purses 10" x 12" x 8" or less, receptacles containing human remains, strollers, child restraint systems, containers carrying life-sustaining items, live vital organs, crutches, canes, walkers and other similar items.
CanJet sizing units, which are 21 cm x 40 cm x 54 cm in dimension, are located at check-in counters located at each airport. Any heavy items and duty free bottles shall be placed under the passenger's seat. Front row and bulkhead passenger luggage shall be stowed for take-off, landing, and during turbulence in an overhead compartment. Carry-on luggage that cannot be stowed in the approved manner, will be removed from the cabin and loaded in the designated cargo hold.
Garment Bags and Musical Instruments: Each garment bag and musical instrument is a piece of luggage subject to standard rules.
EXCESS WEIGHT: Weight in excess of the allowed weight (this is inclusive of luggage, weight and size restrictions) will be charged $10.00 CAD per kg plus applicable taxes (for flights originating in Canada) or $10.00 USD per kg plus applicable taxes (for flights originating in the United States or internationally).
Carriage of the excess piece(s) is subject to space and weight availability.
CanJet cannot accept baggage over 32 kg (70 lbs).
Forms of payment
At most Canadian airports CanJet accept MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Diners Club and cash. CanJet does not accept personal cheques.
SPECIAL ITEMS: Bicycles and Surfboards will be charged $50.00 CAD plus applicable taxes (for flights originating in Canada) or $50.00 USD plus applicable taxes (for flights originating in the United States or internationally) per one way segment.
These items are not accepted as checked baggage: Kayaks, Canoes, Windsurfers, Pole-vaults and Hang Gliders. CanJet does not accept pets for travel in checked baggage or carry-on.
All excess luggage and special items will be carried on a space available basis only and loaded after checked luggage. Traveling guest must claim luggage at the destination of arrival.
Sporting Equipment (Free Luggage Option)
When properly packaged, CanJet Airlines will accept one of the following sports items as free checked luggage allowance piece if it fits within the weight and dimension limitations and is under 20kg (44lbs):
1. Golf clubs
One golf bag containing no more than 14 clubs and one pair of golf shoes. The bag and clubs must be fully enclosed in a hard shell container specifically designed for shipping. If otherwise packaged, the item(s) will only be accepted with a limited release form (to be signed at check-in), releasing CanJet Airlines of liability.
2. Fishing equipment
Includes two rods, one reel and a tackle box. The fishing rod(s) must be packaged in a rigid and/or hard shell container specifically designed for shipping. If otherwise packaged, the item(s) will only be accepted with a limited release form (to be signed at check-in), releasing CanJet Airlines of liability.
3. Scuba diving equipment
A set is considered to be one each of the following: empty scuba tank(be able to open the tank to prove it is empty), regulator, pressure gauge (to be at 0), tank harness, face mask, pair of diving fins, snorkel, knife, spear gun, air pistol and safety vest. All equipment (excluding the tank which can be carried separately) must be securely packed in a rigid and/or hard shell container specifically designed for shipping. These item(s) will only be accepted with a limited release form (to be signed at check-in), releasing CanJet of liability. All equipment must be visually inspected and accepted by our check-in agents.
Hunting equipment
Certain hunting equipment may be checked, provided the free baggage allowance is not exceeded. Should the hunting equipment and baggage combined exceed the free baggage allowance per person, the applicable excess baggage fees would apply.
Please be advised that CanJet is a non Dangerous Good certified airline; therefore no ammunition can be carried in either checking or carry-on baggage.
Firearms of any description on any of CanJet’s flights – firearms for sports purposes will be carried as checked baggage provided required entry permits are in the possession of the passenger for the country of destination and provided that such firearms are checked at the cargo area and are properly packaged in a locked box with trigger locks.
MOBILITY AID DEVICES: CanJet will accept wheelchairs, walkers, motorized scooters and mobility equipment for no additional charge. Dry and gel cell batteries may be accepted for travel providing they are secured in an approved battery container. CanJet will not accept wet cell batteries for safety reasons.
CLAIMS FOR LOST OR DAMAGED BAGS: Damaged or lost luggage must be reported in person within four hours of arrival at the destination airport.
INTERLINE TRANSFER OF LUGGAGE: CanJet does not participate in any luggage interline agreements with other airlines. If you are connecting from your CanJet flight to another airline, you must retrieve your checked luggage at the luggage carousel and proceed to your connecting airline for check-in.
Limitation of liability for baggage or goods: Liability for loss, delay, or damage is limited unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges are paid. For travel wholly between points in Canada, the liability limit is CAD $250.00 per passenger. For travel between points in Canada and the United States, the liability limit is the greater of (1) the limits set out in the Warsaw or Montreal Convention, as may be applicable, or (2) CAD $25.00 per kilogram in respect of checked Luggage and CAD $500.00 per passenger in respect of unchecked Luggage. Excess valuation may not be declared on certain types of articles.

All baggage must be suitably externally identified and packed in suitcases or in similar containers in order to ensure safe and convenient carriage with ordinary care and handling. CanJet assumes no liability for fragile, or perishable articles including medication or medical devices, money, jewelry, silverware, negotiable papers, securities or other valuables, camera, video and electronic equipment, paintings, antiques, furs or samples of business documents or similar items in checked or unchecked Luggage. CanJet shall not be liable for loss damage or delay in the delivery of such articles when they are included in the checked baggage with or without the knowledge of the CanJet. Despite handling luggage with care, CanJet considers the following damage normal wear and tear and will not accept claim for: scratches, nicks, missing straps, zipper damage, handles, scuffs, dents, soiling, manufacturer defects, wheels, seams, or over packed luggage. HAZARDOUS MATERIAL: Transport Canada regulations restrict carriage on aircraft of items classified as hazardous materials. These materials include, but are not limited to, flammable gases-liquid and solid, non-flammable, compressed gas, explosives, poison, corrosives, oxidizing agents, radioactive material, etiologic agents, and magnetized material.
ONBOARD MEDICAL OXYGEN: CanJet does not allow medical oxygen onboard.
