6. Special Needs Guests
All persons with disabilities will be offered pre-boarding and given any additional assistance as required in accordance with the requirements set out in Part V11 of the Air Transportation Regulations (ATR) regarding the terms and conditions of carriage of persons with disabilities.
- Expectant mothers past 36 weeks require a doctor's certificate that authorizes travel and states travel dates.
- Guests who require medication during flight and who are unable to administer themselves are required to have an accompanying attendant.
- Prescription medication should be in its original labelled container with the name of the medication and dispensing pharmacy.
- Syringes or needles for personal medical use must have the needle guard in place.
- Visually impaired guests are welcome to bring their service animal at no additional charge.
- ONBOARD MEDICAL OXYGEN: CanJet does not allow personal medical oxygen onboard. CanJet aircraft are equipped with oxygen for EMERGENCY USE ONLY.
Please make arrangements by contacting our Guest Relations Department six (6) days prior to your departure at 1-800-809-7777 (Monday to Friday 9H00 to 21H00, Atlantic Standard Time). For all customers to/from Toronto with special needs, please contact ACAP at (416) 776-2227 to make arrangements for pick up/drop off service.
Service animals are accepted for carriage free of charge. Passengers must provide proof of certification for the service animal at time of check-in. The animal must remain at the owners feet throughout the flight and. Passengers should advise Flight Attendants of any commands that the animal will obey.
"Service Animal" means an animal that is required by a person with a disability for assistance and is certified, in writing, as having been trained to assist a person with a disability by a professional service animal institution and which is properly harnessed in accordance with standards established by a professional service animal institution.
