April 20th, 2009, Halifax, NS – A CanJet aircraft carrying passengers returning from Flight 918 in Jamaica has left Montego Bay and will stop over in Santa Clara, Cuba, before returning to Halifax.

The aircraft is carrying 168 passengers, at least 40 of whom were on board Flight 918 during the incident. Passenger numbers will be updated after the plane departs from Santa Clara.

Tonight’s flight is expected to arrive at Halifax Stanfield International Airport at approximately 23:45 ADT.

The crew from Flight 918 are being flown back separately tonight from Montego Bay.

Media inquiries concerning the on-going criminal investigation are now being referred to the local investigating authorities.
